Philosophy: High student academic achievement is the primary goal of Rites Of Passage Savannah. Our underlying philosophy is that an artistic, empowering, constructivist curriculum, combined with the historical and cultural richness of our American and African heritage, will result in well-rounded and productive freeman. We believe a combined American and African centered educational program will provide the proper environment for many of our urban learners. Rites of Passage is a culturally responsive school with connections to many worldwide community organizations and resources. Classes are held currently at The Beach Institute as well as community partner sites.
Mission: Rites of Passage is an integrity centered, science, mathematics, and Technology-learning center whose mission is to provide a principle driven, holistic educational program for Urban Learners rooted in the Seven Chakras energy centers and the Seven Principles of The Nguzo Saba. Rites of Passage aims to nurture lifelong learners who are self aware and valuablemembers of the world abroad.
